Nemo
Nemo is a beautiful and athletic 3-1⁄2 year old 14.3 hand Quarter Horse or breeding stock Paint type gelding. He was abandoned in April 2013 and taken into Animal Control custody and is now in foster care with CHANGE. Nemo was a stallion when found, so he will take some time to make the transition to being a gelding. He has been out in pasture with several mares and a foal. We are told he may have been started under saddle, but do not know details. This is a nice quality horse who is well put together, with clean, straight legs. Could go in many directions. He should mature at 15 hands. Loads and trailers well. Lunges with and without a saddle, and is learning to have his feet handled and be bathed. Good mind, smart, eager to please and a real "pocket pony" in the making. Due to late castration and lack of training, Nemo is available to an advanced rider/handler (or intermediate with trainer support) with suitable facilities. Current on dental, vaccinations, worming and feet. Located in Santa Rosa. $150 adoption fee to approved permanent home. Please contact CHANGE at 707-570-7050 or. Please contact or director@sonomachangeprogram.com for more information.
