Lakota (#Cloverdale12)

UPDATE September 5, 2018: Lakota is current on dental work, vaccinations, deworming, and hoof care.  She is broke to ride and has been ridden 4 to 5 times per week by her foster barn caregivers, however she currently is off of work due to an injury that is being treated under veterinary direction. Her foster barn reports that she is a willing, behaved, intellgent, sound mare and she is going to make someone a wonderful horse!

Registered Buckskin and White Paint Mare

Lakota is a gorgeous 12 yo registered buckskin and white Paint mare. Lakota loaded up easily, but then struggled to figure out how to back out at her foster home, proving she hasn’t had a lot of life experience. But, after only a few days in her foster, she was tying and being bathed and groomed like a champ. She has proven to be willing to work hard to figure out what is being asked of her and be a good girl. She has some old scars on her body as testament to tough times, but there are only good things ahead for her. Lakota took great interest in a visiting child, so perhaps she could be a kids horse in the making?

These photographs were taken today (6-11-2018)- what a beautiful mare!
