Poppy (#Cloverdale12)

12 years old

Chestnut and White Paint Mare

Poppy is just the sweetest horse ever, and so easy and fun to have around. She nickers constantly, preferring the company of humans to horses.  When she had recent dental work, she nickered to the vet while under sedation! She's happy inside or out,  alone or with a friend, and is not mareish or herd bound.  She loves to learn,  and is so eager to please. Very level headed sweetheart who will make a wonderful family member and fun horse to bring along. We could see Poppy doing trails, lower level dressage, and more. Low mileage former broodmare ready to find her new home.

UPDATE: September 19, 2018-  Poppy is being ridden! She is responding well to a rider at both the walk and the trot.  She is a willing and attentive horse and seems to enjoy having riders on her back. Poppy is a 12-year-old, 14.2 hand Paint mare, athletic, a nice mover, with a sweet temperament and desire to please. Poppy is currently in full training with a professional trainer and she is getting a thorough education in the basics. We are enjoying helping this ittle horse begin her riding career but we are actively seeking an adopter to "take the reins" to help Poppy on the next phase of her journey. We recently measured Poppy, and she stands at 14.2 1/2 inches with a solid Quarter Horse type build. Stay tuned for more updates, or follow her progress on Facebook! Please email  director@sonomachangeprogram.com for more information.
