Poppy (#Cloverdale12)

12 years old

Chestnut and White Paint Mare

Poppy is just the sweetest horse ever, and so easy and fun to have around. She nickers constantly, preferring the company of humans to horses.  When she had recent dental work, she nickered to the vet while under sedation! She's happy inside or out,  alone or with a friend, and is not mareish or herd bound.  She loves to learn,  and is so eager to please. Very level headed sweetheart who will make a wonderful family member and fun horse to bring along. We could see Poppy doing trails, lower level dressage, and more. Low mileage former broodmare ready to find her new home.

UPDATE: June 2018-  Poppy's foster barn reports that she is making incredible progress.  She is now completely rehabilitated and healthy!  Her teeth have been powerfloated by the veterinarian, all her vaccines are done, she has been dewormed and her feet have been trimmed.  She is now working 3 days per week with a trainer and is going lunging under tack.  She has welcomed every experience with a bright and cheerful disposition.  She is personable and kind and says hello to every visitor in the barn with a nicker.  She is ready to move into a permanent adoptive home.  Please contact CHANGE if you are interested in learning more about Poppy.  director@sonomachangeprogram.com
