February, 2022: Congratulations Kerry on adding Gabby to your herd! You are going to smile every morning when you head outside and hear her nicker :)

Gabby originally came to the CHANGE Program in 2018 as part of the #Cloverdale12 case involving 12 horses who were seized from a Cloverdale breeder due to severe neglect. Sadly, one of the horses died stuck in chest-deep mud, and a few others were not far behind. Gabby was one of the worst off and was emaciated and covered in rain rot and lice. She is the sweetest, most talkative horse CHANGE has seen in a while! We actually named her Gabby because she knickers at passers-by just to say "hello"! She has an unbreakable positive spirit and she has remained upbeat and friendly despite all she went through earlier in her life.
Gabby was adopted by a wonderful local family later in 2018 and has been a cherished companion horse and family member. Unfortunately, their situation has changed and they have asked CHANGE to re-home Gabby due to no fault of her own. Now, Gabby is looking for a home as a companion horse.
- Age approximately 18-20 years old. Current on all medical, dental and farrier care. Healthy no-fuss girl.
- Sweet easy companion for another gentle horse. Gabby has lived in a variety of situations and gets along well with other horses. She is currently a companion to a quarter horse gelding.
- Gabby is an easy keeper and can eat anything and has never had any problems.
- Gabby trailers perfectly and is always a good girl for the vet.
- She LOVES attention and grooming.
- She is very approachable and friendly and will always meet you at a fence.
- She has been very gentle around the adopter's kids and grandkids. It's possible she may be a good "grandkids leadline" horse.
- She is extremely sweet and will follow you EVERYWHERE! (She wants to always be close to you)
Gabby is looking for a lifetime home. This horse is a one-in-a-million mare and she will be so happy when someone makes her a member of their family! Her adoption fee is $150.
If you are interested in Gabby, please contact us or submit an adoption application.
