Heather

Heather is a spry Arabian mare who was removed from a property by Sonoma County Animal Care and Control in January. She is about 26 years old. Even though she came into CHANGE in rough condition, she did not missed a beat during her rehabilitation. She steadily rallied despite severe emaciation, life threatening diarrhea, and horrible skin issues. She kept up her appetite and energy and did not feel sorry for herself for even a second. What an inspiration! She received dental work, hoof trimming, deworming and vaccinations in CHANGE. Her dedicated foster mom worked diligently to feed her several times per day. Thanks for generous donors, she was warm every night in refurbished blankets that were provided through the CHANGE Program supply donation cooperative. She made progress, one step at a time. Congratulations to Kate on her adoption of Heather!
