UPDATE July, 2024: Congratulations Ingrid for bringing Tate into your family.  We wish you both a long and happy partnership!

Tate came into the CHANGE program on March 22, 2024, along with Emma, after being seized by Sonoma County Animal Services due to neglect.  He was severely underweight and had a very tight nylon halter on which was perilously close to breaking the skin on his nose.

Tate was a stallion, approximately 10 years old, with a sweet personality and a beautiful face!  One of our amazing foster barns agreed to take Tate with almost no notice and did a remarkable of nursing him back to health and attending to his recovery from castration surgery.  Tate also received a much needed dental procedure, vaccinations, worming and farrier care.

Once Tate recovered from his castration, we turned him over to local trainer Caryn Hoeflein at Sky High Ranch.  With her kind and methodical approach, Caryn found Tate to be a lovely riding horse, brave, willing and quite knowledgeable.  In short order, he was adopted by Ingrid, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the match!!
